for Hope Mills Commissioner
Election Date is November 7, 2023
Early voting for Hope Mills begins October 19
About me
Just a short introduction. I was born at Cherry Point, ironically not far from where my ancestors settled in the late 1600’s before heading south.

I followed my USMC Dad and USNR Mom all over the country before meeting my husband in high school in CA.

I followed Hubs around the world for a couple of decades before we came here in 2005, for three years. Now it’s been 18 years and I have a feeling that we’re not leaving.

We have two sons who are currently active duty, they both graduated from Jack Britt HS. They'll be in and out of the center of the Army universe for a while so it makes sense to settle down here.

After many years of moving around and taking classes here and there, I was finally able to buckle down and earned my degrees in Environmental Management. I have worked for the schools as a substitute teacher, as outreach coordinator for Sustainable Sandhills, and for the last four years as the Stormwater and Sustainability Administrator for the Town of Spring Lake. I have been assured by elections officials that there is no conflict of interest between the two roles.

My goal, if I am chosen to be one of your commissioners, is to ensure that the town practices good fiscal management, to be a voice for the townspeople, and using my experience as one, to make sure our town employees have the support they need to do their jobs.

I am also currently serving in two town committees, Parks & Recreation and Board of Adjustment.
